Make a Philadelphia School Match

There’s a new resource for families trying to identify a school for their kids… phillyschoolmatch.org.  From their press release, the site, built by an educational consulting organization Frontline Solutions, aims to “provide critical information for navigating the school selection process in the metro area.”  The site right now is a great information repository–it provides a comprehensive list of Philadelphia (no suburban) K-12 charter, boarding, and private schools.  For each school, they document their application deadlines, decision/lottery dates, AYP status, racial breakdown, and tuition.  It’s a great quick-and-dirty reference guide to schools when you don’t feel like diving into the deeper, but less user-friendly Report Card on the Schools from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

I had a chance to sit down with one of the founders of Frontline Solutions.  Frontline has an impressive mission and at least one really sharp person working for them–I look forward to seeing what they might offer in the future.
