This blog started in December of 2009 to document the school selection process of one family. The goal was to get feedback from others who are doing the same, and for helping future school researchers navigate the educational waters.
We are hoping that this is a community blog–we want it to reflect the experiences of many regional parents and not just the specific experiences and biases of its founder. As such, I invite you to share your thoughts in one of two ways.
- Become a contributing blogger on Philly School Search. As a contributing author on Philly School Search, the commitment is what you make of it. If you or someone you know might want to contribute, let us know.
- If you have selected a school, please share your experience with us so that your experience can help other parents. Your response will be posted anonymously to our blog.
- If you don’t want to make a big commitment or you wish to remain anonymous, but you do have some experiences that you wish to share, write them up and send them to PSS for review. If accepted, they will be posted under the “PSS Community” author. Examples of contributions that we would welcome might be “How I navigated the competitive private school admission process” or “How I talked my way into XYZ school.” Send us your submissions here. Even if you want your post to be anonymous, I must have your email address in order to post your article in case we need to discuss edits. We promise not to publish names of those who do not wish to be named.
