Just over a year ago, the Pew Charitable Trusts released a study on school choice in Philadelphia. Has anything changed?

The Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS), an advocacy and educational nonprofit representing the Commonwealth's charter schools, applauds Governor Tom Corbett for recognizing and responding to the growing demand by families for public school choice. 
With the no state funding for charters and the School District of Philadelphia already facing a $400M budget deficit, it's hard to imagine how the city's charter school program can continue.
